Perseid Meteor Shower August 12th

It looks as though the Persied Meteor shower, which peaks on August 12th, may be a dud as far as visual observations are concerned, due to the nearly full moon.

The good news is that the Moon won't affect the impact of the shower on radio propagation. The Persiods should still provide an abundance of Meteor trails which will reflect signals in the Amateur 50, 70 and 144 MHz bands allowing
distances of up to 2,500 km to be worked.
