Scouts On Air G8BLS/P from Hallowtree Campsite Sat 19th AugustI shall be setting up /P at Hallowtree, our local campsite on Saturday 19th August as part of the FDARS (Felixstowe & District Amateur Radio Society) Field Day. I intend to be on for 0900 on 3.740 + QSOs (can't really call them QRM can we, bless their cotton socks and chilblains). Once the rest of the members turn up we shall use a club GX7 something, so keep a look out for us, on other bands. It is Lighthouse Weekend so we shall be trying to work a few of them. We should have several of our Scout members on-site so there may be some less familiar voices on the mike. If any of you are at camps and want to work us for 'greetings messages' we should be able to fit you in, ring or text on 07930 730034 for skeds. We will have inverted Vs for 80, 40, 20 and a 1/2 wave vert for 20, with endfed invert V + auto tuner for any other band. Some of us may go down to the local River Orwell to try some /PM if conditions, radio and WX are suitable, probably on 17 or 20 metres but can use any band if needed. YIS
