On
the Road with PW
Practical Wireless editor Rob Mannion G3XFD always
enjoys meeting readers of Practical Wireless, and often tours the country
visiting amateur radio clubs throughout the United Kingdom
More opportunities to work GB75PW
There's a few more opportunities to work GB75PW this
week. GB75PW is the special event station marking the 75th anniversary
of Practical Wireless magazine.
The first of these opportunities is on Tuesday, when PW editor Rob Mannion,
G3XFD, pays a visit to the Barry
Amateur Radio Society in South Wales.
GB75PW will be operational all day from their superb
h.f. site (which boasts some amazing antennas) alongside the Bristol channel
- a site that offers great take-offs over the South Atlantic. That evening,
Rob will be attending the club's regular weekly meeting. Visitors are
most welcome to attend.
On Wednesday, and still in Wales, Rob will be paying a visit to the
Blackwood Amateur
Radio Society who, like PW, are also celebrating their 75th
anniversary. The club meets at Cross Keys College near Blackwood. Once
again, visitors to the club can expect a warm welcome.

On Saturday, there's a second chance to work GB75PW
as the callsign is aired by members of the Poole
Radio Society throughout the day.
The Society will also be hosting GB75PW again on Saturday, 15th September
If you work GB75PW, QSL cards are available either by sending an SAE
to the PW offices, or via the bureau.
