Special programme on 675 kHz on 31 August

Stichting Norderney, the Dutch organisation set up to preserve the history of Radio Veronica’s years as an offshore broadcaster, has arranged a special broadcast on 31 August, the anniversary of the offshore station’s closure in 1974.

The broadcast will be on 675 kHz by arrangement with Arrow Classic Rock.

It starts at 0500 UTC with recordings of historic broadcasts, and there will be live programming between 1000 and 1500 UTC which will include an appearance by Robbie Dale, who worked for Radio Veronica for a time after the closure of Radio Caroline.
