Cape Moreton Lighthouse
International Lighthouse Weekend 18th - 19th August

I have received approval in principal from Queensland Parks services to setup a station on Cape Moreton Lighthouse, Moreton Island off Brisbane, Australia.

Due to my arrival time I am only able to activate the station from Sunday 19th 8am to 5pm same day.

Also for simplicity sake I am only going to operate on 40m (7045 Khz LSB) and 20m (undecided on frequency for this band yet).

Nick VK2CNP is helping me with a precut and tested dual band wire antenna and I am taking my IC706MK2G. Transport is still not settled on, but I do have the facility of hiring a 4-wd over on the island, so if worst comes to worst, I will do that.

So please put a call out for VK2LSB portable VK4 Cape Moreton lighthouse on the 19th August, from 8am East coast Australian time. Feel free to spread this email and info far and wide as I would love to make a lot of contacts.
