Exercise Mercury's March

On the 18 August 2008, 30 Tri-Service personnel from Blandford Camp and Headley Court will carry a stretcher from Plymouth to London.

The stretcher will be a symbol of all those servicemen and women who have been injured on operations in recent years, particularly in Afghanistan and Iraq.

It is hoped to raise support for our troops and raise much needed funds for the
Help for Heroes charity.

30 Tri-Service personnel from HQ SOinC (A) at Blandford and the rehabilitation centre at Headley Court will set out from Plymouth on the 18th August 2008 and arrive in London on the afternoon of 23rd August 2008.

This will be a 285 mile march whilst carrying a stretcher along some of the highest peaks that the South has to offer and will present a significant challenge to its participants.
