FM relay transmitter for Radio 4 stolen in Wageningen

Dutch police are searching for the person or persons who stole a low-power FM relay transmitter for public network Radio 4 from premises in the town of Wageningen.

The transmitter was co-sited with the transmitter that carries local station Dalux FM, but only the Radio 4 transmitter was stolen.

The theft apparently took place in broad daylight, and police believe the perpetrator(s) must have some knowledge of broadcasting due to the way in which the theft was carried out.

The transmitter has a street value of €3,500. It’s branded Elettronika, type: Mira, serial number: 0304 0007 4931. Anyone who knows of its whereabouts, or who is offered it for sale, is asked to contact KPN Broadcast Services directly or via Radio 4
