BT mast site WILL be new suburb

The Rugby Observer's Simon Ward reports that a massive new suburb of Rugby, consisting of 6,5000 new homes, will be built on the former BT radio mast site.

The land, between Hillmorton and Clifton on Dunsmore, is to be developed as part of a huge expansion of the borough that will also see a new 1,200 home development - the size of Cawston Grange - built west of Coton Park.

It could also see thousands more homes built between Dunchurch and Cawston.

Confirmation the now disused radio mast site is to be developed into a new district of houses, schools, shops and employment space providing 3,000 jobs came as borough council chiefs this week unveiled where new houses, leisure and retail development will be accommodated up until 2026.
