How do they do it?

SSTL & DMCii are scheduled to be featured on Discovery Channel’s ‘How Do They Do It?’ programme on Wednesday 26th August at 8pm, followed by a US version on Science Channel in early September after the script has been re-recorded with an American narrator.

There will be a further repeat on the main US Discovery Channel in the autumn. (We don’t have confirmed dates for the US yet.)

We have a 10 minute slot in the middle section of this half-hour show, which is one of the highest rated on the Discovery Network and reaches a potential audience of 1.2 billion.

For those who don’t know, ‘How Do They Do It?’ showcases a wide variety of technology and inventions from around the world from the cutting-edge to the well established, telling the story behind the technology and essentially explaining how things work.

The SSTL/DMCii section is titled “How do they make the satellites that provide pixel perfect pictures of the earth from deep space?”.
