The RAIBC needs YOU!

RAIBC, the charity working for radio amateurs with disabilities, is looking for some assistance.

We currently have several vacancies on our committee and in particular for an Equipment Manager.

The RAIBC is perhaps best known for loaning radio equipment to disabled amateurs and swl's. The equipment manager handles this area. The duties are not especially onerous. Members applying for equipment contact the equipment manager, who explains the process to them and then sends them an application form. The decision to loan equipment is taken by the committee as a whole at regular telephone conference meetings.

The equipment manager is then responsible for ordering equipment and maintaining accurate records on a database.

Would you be interested in joining the RAIBC committee and taking on this role?

We are looking for a radio amateur who is enthusiastic, willing to talk to members, handle ordering equipment and attend regular telephone conference meetings. By joining the committee in this capacity you will become part of an enthusiastic team who are keen to help individuals with disabilities who have an interest in radio.

You will also help to maintain the RAIBC and assist in guiding its future direction. To help in running the RAIBC, the vast majority of the day to day business is conducted by email and through our Yahoo group.

The RAIBC is a charity and all committee positions are voluntary. Any needed training and assistance will be provided.
