Bicycle tour needs more radio hams

The Newark Amateur Radio Society in New Jersey says that it needs at least 33 additional volunteer ham radio operators to provide communications for the upcoming Bicycle Tour of Newark.

The event takes place on Saturday, September 18th running from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Eastern US time. In case of rain, a back-up date of Saturday, September 25th has been set.

The Bicycle Tour of Newark is comprised of both 5 mile and a 25-mile courses. The staging area for the event is downtown Newark and there will be a designated parking area for those who bring vehicles. Public transportation is by New Jersey Transit trains from New York's Pennsylvania Station.
