Vanuatu 2010 – YJ0VK update

The Vanuatu DXpedition YJ0VK takes place August 27 through September 2, 2010.

The YJ0VK team is fully prepared now. We fly out of the eastern seaboard of VK on Thursday 26th August.

We expect to be operational on 20mtrs by 00:00utc on 27th August. Other bands will come on-line through the day.
Our vertical antennas are constructed and tested and by all accounts are working very well.

We will be placing a special focus on the WARC bands [10/18/24 MHz], so pls QRV for us on the following frequencies:

18.077   18.118
24.897   24.935 (we’ll look here regularly for openings)

On the traditional bands we’ll be operating on the following frequencies +/- qrm:

3.511     3.670
7.011     7.170

28.011   28.470

We have a limited station for 160mtrs but we’ll certainly have it operational each day at our sunrise and sunset.
