ALARAMEET 2005 to be held in Mildura.

ALARA (the Australian Ladies Amateur Radio Association) will be 30 years old next year 2005. They would like some of the YLs who were involved in the early days, or who have lost touch with ALARA recently, to let them know how they are and what they are doing now.

They do not intend to pester anyone, so they will not get letters about this. They would like the YLs and XYLs to contact them. A card or phone call to anyone on the committee would be great, but particularly to either Marilyn VK3DMS, who is the convener for the ALARAMEET in Mildura at the beginning of September, or to Christine VK5CTY, the
publicity officer and AR correspondent would be better.
Both are QTHR in the callbooks and local phone books.

During the future national broadcasts they will be asking for anyone in contact with an early member of ALARA, whether or not they have a licence, to pass on this message.
They will be naming names, from time to time, but are sure there are others whose names they do not know, or do not name, who were active in those early important days.

Please help ALARA to celebrate the first 30 years.

Cards etc will probably be on display in Mildura and will go into the History after that weekend so they become a permanent part of ALARA.
