More amateur bands under threat

Ofcom have put another consultative document on their website at http://www.ofcom.org.uk/consultations/current/radar/

This one deals with Automotive Radar systems and represents a direct attack on our 24 GHz and 77.5-81 GHz allocations.

The proposal is to use 77-81 GHz for Car Radars. Ofcom describe this band as having "no users" thus being suitable for licence exempt operation !! They totally ignore our primary allocations of 75.5-76.0 and 77.5-78.0 GHz.
Amateur Radio isn't mention once in the document.

With regard to 24 GHz it says:

"The European Commission, Member States and the automotive industry are also currently considering allowing
limited use of the 24GHz band, covering 21.5-26.5GHz for Short range radar equipment. A final decision on the 24GHz band has not yet been reached. This may be the subject of further exemption regulations in due course."
