GB3FH operational

Matt Beasant, G4RKY, the GB3FH repeater keeper, reports that the repeater became operational on 6 November.

GB3FH operates the western end of the Mendip Hills, near Cheddar in Somerset, on 50.770MHz with a plus 500kHz shift. The repeater requires a CTCSS tone of 77.0Hz for access and 2.5kHz maximum deviation. GB3FH operates at 20 watts output to a dipole at 34 metres above ground level.

Matt says that improvements are planned for the New Year, including a new receiver set-up and through audio improvements.
