Ralphie and Sparkle launched

The Amateur Satellites Ralphie and Sparkie launched successfully on Tuesday 21st December at 12:50pm, but as yet, no contact has been made with the satellites.

Their mission is to conduct a technical investigation to demonstrate packet radio for inter-satellite links using a frequency of 437.5 MHz.

Due to the low orbit, it is anticipated that re-entry will occur within one to two weeks. There is no Amateur Transponder on board.
