The Ukraine worked on 70cm during
a spectacular Tropo opening

A stable high pressure system over the UK and Europe has led to some spectacular VHF and UHF tropospheric propagation.

Reg Woolley, G8VHI, reports working US5WU on 70 centimetres SSB on 9 December. He sent a 53 report and received 55 from the Ukrainian station, located in KO20di.

Reg uses an FT-847 transceiver with a 100 watt PA to two 23-element Yagis.
