The MXLT-TARC Monster Xmas Lights Tour.

This delightful tour for all the family will be happening on Wednesday December 22nd and all TARCadians, visitors, friends and family are invited to assemble their mobile shack chariots from 6 pm out the front of Calvary Christian College, in Bayswater Road adjacent to Santa Lucia Court and London Court, Mount Louisa.

Tour participants are asked to be self-sufficient with tables, seating, drinkies and nibblies and dress up for the occasion! BYO gastronomic delights and drinkies for dinner in a hilly sunset setting.

Once consuming of the delights is completed and the sun has set (say, by 7-15pm) the plan is to wander over to the displays across the road in London Court .

Once you have had enough of this modern marvel of decorative lighting, the XMAS Lights Display group mobiles will proceed in tag-a-long fashion under the guidance of Wallaby Bob and Mrs Mann. Be sure to keep a keen eye out for Mr and Mrs Santa whilst touring all the best light displays in the Townsville / Thuringowa area.

The tour is expected to go until approx 9 to 9-30pm in the evening with lots of stops along the way to allow the group to get out and appreciate the larger displays and talk to the people who have laboured long and hard to put the displays together.

A running commentary of the light displays plus positional information for any stragglers will take place on 146.550 MHz simplex (CH51).
