DRM radio in The Times

Page 48 of Friday's Times newspaper had an article on digital radio which included the quote:

'In Europe people are saying Digital Audio Broadcasting [DAB] is dead'

It spectulates that DAB may be overtaken by DRM which by virtue of its narrow bandwidth can provide a greater transmission range and a much wider choice of stations.

The articles does point out that the audio quality from standard DRM is inferior to DAB but makes no reference to the vastly improved quality possible at VHF with the new DRM-Plus standard.
