Lift off of Soyuz carrying GIOVE-A

Galileo Successfully Launched

The first Gallileo satellite built by SSTL has been successfully launched.

BBC News 24 was running a report on it every half an hour which has included an interview with the Radio Amateur who founded SSTL, Professor Sir Martin Sweeting G3YJO.
Martin is also Chairman of AMSAT-UK.
