Glenn Baxter - the former K1MAN - asked
to apologise for racial slurs
The following letter has been written to Glenn Baxter (the former
K1MAN) by an amateur concerned over the use of racial slurs and
other remarks by K1MAN's co-host, Richard Whiten (the former WB2OTK).
Whiten has been a frequent co-host on the IARN/AARA talk radio
program hosted by the former K1MAN.
Whiten turned in his own amateur license for cancellation, following
FCC allegations of "longstanding complaints" about "profanity,
obscenity, broadcasting extreme racial slurs, deliberate interference
and failure to properly identify."
Baxter is being asked to apologize for his co-hosts recent remarks
and for broadcasting the telephone of noted racist and KKK member
Daniel Carver on numerous occasions over the IARN/AARA news bulletin.
The letter, a copy of which was also sent to the Federal Communications
Commission and to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is transcribed
below.

Dear Mr. Baxter,
Inasmuch as Richard Whiten is your friend and radio co-host, and
his ip address exactly matches the ip address of the internet poster
known as mo-fo@hushmail.com ( 24.177.228.188) I am again writing
to inquire if you plan to continue to use Richard Whiten as a co-host
on your IARN/AARA radio show?
There appear to be several pages of racist remarks posted on the
internet from the ip address above. The remarks by "mo-fo"
can be viewed by pasting the following URL into your browser.

As you know, countless public figures have resigned in shame after
being exposed as having made the types of remarks shown in the articles
above.
Since IARN is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, can you tell me
why American tax payers should endorse the continuation of IARN's
tax-free status?
I made you aware of the following recording years ago, yet you
have continued to use Mr. Whiten as your co-host and you have featured
him as a guest commentator on your web pages.
Furthermore, your show played the telephone number of noted KKK
member Daniel Carver, for an entire week. This may lead many in
your audience to wonder if you support Mr. Whiten's views, as espoused

In light of the fact that IARN is chartered as a charitable organization
and a Radio Peace Corp Foundation in Maine, and since racism can
hardly be considered an activity associated with a Peace Corp Foundation,
do you plan to apologize for the racially biased remarks your co-host
has apparently made in defense of your radio activities, and your
repeated playing of Daniel Carver's telephone number on your talk
show?
