New radio magazine Monitoring Monthly hitting the streets soon
If you are interested in listening to radio as a hobby, then Monitoring
Monthly is the magazine to read.
Edited by Kevin Nice, who has been working editorially for radio
listeners' magazines for almost twelve years now. MM the new monthly
radio enthusiasts' magazine, aims to capitalise on the well known
authorities in the field who will be familiar to many!
MM is Published by Nice One Publishing Ltd., Monitoring Monthly
will include, informative reviews and features,
and regular monthly columns to keep you one step ahead.
If you are interested in broadcast or utility DX, or Satellite news
feeds, matters military, data modes, news of what's happening in
the radio arena around the world, then Monitoring Monthly will keep
you informed.
Amongst the monthly regulars you'll find, Lawrence Harris, Martin
Peters, Peter Bond, Keith Hamer & Garry Smith, Dave Roberts,
Pat Carty, Ben Hogan, Jacques d'Avignon, Paul Beaumont (Enigma 2000),
to name but a few.
Kevin Nice revealed that "I've set about making sure that the
best authorities in the hobby are writing for Monitoring Monthly.
Our bumper sized 88-page issue is jam packed with reading essentials.
I firmly believe that what is a thrilling new venture for me, will
be an exciting and informative magazine for keen radio hobbyists
everywhere. Our strong team is dedicated to bringing the very best
to
the radio listener. Our aim is to be at the forefront of the hobby.
It’s important to stress that Monitoring Monthly is a new
and completely independent magazine and is from new publishers who
provide the flexibility to respond quickly to readers’ interests."
In this first issue of Monitoring Monthly, there is a readers'
survey. As an incentive for readers to share their opinions with
the magazine, there has been arranged a very tasty and expensive,
wideband, all mode AOR AR8600 receiver that will be drawn as a prize
for one of those who submits a fully completed survey. There are
also runner up prizes in the form of subscriptions for those who
are drawn from the Editorial 'hat', second, third, fourth and fifth.
