GB2RS Newsreader awarded RSGB Scottish trophy

John Kelly, GM3TCW, has been awarded the 2005 'Jack Wyllie' RSGB Scottish Trophy after celebrating 30 years as a GB2RS newsreader in December.

The Jack Wyllie Trophy is awarded to an individual or group that has helped promote amateur radio in Scotland.

John, who is GB2RS newsreader for Central Scotland, will be presented with the award at the Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service Amateur Radio Club on Friday 9 December.
