Ofcom - Maritime Licence for Life Announcement

On Thursday morning Ofcom announced their proposals for Lifetime Ships licences, see

I presume it's likely that when the results of the Amateur Licensing Consultation are announced the proposals will be similar to those for shipping.

An electronic licence, renewable online free of charge every 10 years. Personally I think this would be a satisfactory outcome.

In mid-October, Ofcom said that they hoped the results of the Amateur Licensing Consultation could be published by the end of December. They did, however, say that due to the large number number of responses there was a possibility that it might get pushed back to January, see
