Polish Radio recalls founding fathers of broadcasting

A two day international conference has opened at the headquarters of Polish Radio under the motto 'The Founding Fathers of European Broadcasting'.

The Warsaw event is the crowning point of celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Poland’s public radio.

Among the invited speakers are professor Enrico Menduni from Italy, John Gray from Britain and Olga Minayeva from Russia.

An additional attraction of the gala gathering is the publication of a book devoted to the founder of Polish Radio and its first director Zygmunt Chamiec.

The conference has been organized by the Centre of Polish Broadcasting History.
