The versatile Superdrug £2.99 10-band Short Wave Radio Receiver

Since the Superdrug chain of high street stores started selling 10 band Short Wave radios for just £2.99, Radio Amateurs have been busy finding out what else they can do with it.

It has already been used as a frequency counter and Richard G3UGF posted on the GQRP Yahoo list that he has found a simple way to get it to work on Top Band. Just what’s needed for next year's DF Hunts!

This radio seems to have stimulated a considerable amount of experimentation among amateurs – proof should it be needed that homebrew is alive and well.
