Morse to be demonstrated on TV at Royal Institution Lecture - Channel 5

The TV production company that produces the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures for Channel 5 approached the Worthing and District Amateur Radio Club (WADARC) to see if they could provide somebody who could demonstrate Morse
Code.

WADARC member Danny Clapp M0GMT volunteered and will be demonstrating Morse code by sending a message to Bletchley Park. Recording of the morse segment should take place on Wednesday.

The lectures will be televised over 5 days on Channel 5 starting on December 25th at 7:15pm. The lecture on Bletchley Park, which it is believed will include the morse demonstration, is scheduled to be shown on Thursday December 28th.

The Case of the Uncrackable Code

Series of lectures by leading mathematician and best-selling author Marcus du Sautoy.

Marcus reveals how mathematicians have been making and breaking codes throughout history.

In a reconstruction of the dark days of World War II,
Marcus challenges a team at Bletchley Park to crack a code that many think impenetrable.
