RTÉ to start DRM tests on 252 kHz

Irish public broadcaster RTÉ has confirmed that the 252 kHz site (200kW in analogue) is to have a new transmitter installed this week to allow the transmission of DRM on this frequency.

At present, a date has not been set, but initial tests will take place in DRM mode between 0200-0500 UTC, simulcasting RTÉ Radio 1.

The power for the DRM broadcasts is not yet known.
