VOA broadcasts obituary of former director who introduced Special English

The Voice of America has broadcast a programme in Special English about Henry Loomis, who died earlier this month.

Mr Loomis served as director of the Voice of America for seven years starting in 1958, and played an important role in creating the Special English service.
