Jack Binns - Wireless Hero

January 23rd, 1909 was the day when Jack Binns became the first hero of wireless, acclaimed throughout the world for his efforts during a daring rescue at sea.

For the 100th anniversary of the Republic-Florida collision, Amateur Radio operators around the world will be at their Special Event Stations listening for special broadcasts and communications about Jack Binns and the Republic-Florida Collision.
