Cavtat 08 decisions on the Amateur Satellite ServiceThe recent IARU Region 1 conference held in Cavtat, Croatia, discussed a number of key papers relating to the ITU Amateur Satellite Service. Among the items discussed were targets for spectrum requirements for the addition of a harmonised global allocation to the Amateur Satellite Service within the 50 MHz band and efforts to gain access to the all-important 3400 – 3410 MHz segment.
