BBC, ITV, BT team up for broadband STBsA report by James Welsh on DigitalSpy says that the BBC and ITV are to work with British Telecom (BT) on developing a common standard for the delivery of video on demand to digital TV set top boxes over broadband. To get the broadband Internet signal from the telephone socket to the TV set they have been using Powerline Adadptors. Such devices transmit a broadband High Frequency radio signal into the mains power supply and can cause interference to radios over a wide area.
