21st Chelmsford Foundation Course

The Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society (CARS) will be holding their 21st Foundation evening course starting Thursday January 14.

The first course was held in January 2002 and the club have been running Foundation, Intermediate or Advanced courses almost every Thursday evening since. Morse classes were started in 2007 which proved popular.

The courses are usually held at the Danbury Village Hall but the club has also run two Foundation courses for a total of 36 pupils and teachers at the King Edward VI Grammar School (KEGS) in Chelmsford.

The club has been very fortunate in having so many members willing to assist in the training in a variety of roles from teaching, acting as out-stations and ensuring there was always tea and coffee available. It has truly been a team effort and one that has invigorated the hobby in Mid-Essex.

The full set of PowerPoint training slides is available for free download on the club's website.
