All amateur radio operators asked to report weather-related observations
Delaware's WGMD News reports that, for the duration of the current weather event, Sussex County Emergency Operations Center and Sussex County Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services (RACES) are requesting all amateur radio operators, in Sussex County and surrounding counties, to report weather related observations.
Any and all licensed amateur stations, regardless of skill or affiliations, are urged to report current or changing conditions including precipitation accumulation, power outages, flooding, wind, temperature or barometric changes.
Reports are being accepted via the Sussex County Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) Storm Net on the
147.075 megahertz repeater in Millsboro
147.33 megahertz repeater in Lewes
146.715 megahertz repeater in Seaford
