Bethel has five new HAM radio amateurs

After attending three weekends of instruction, five Bethel folks took and passed the FCC entry level exam for the Amateur Radio Technician Class License, Alaska's Tundra Drums report.

The new HAMS and their call signs are: Clifford Geimer KL3EU, Teresa Voss KL3EV, Justin Wintersteen KL3EW, Justin Brandt KL3EX, and Ralph Monteith KL3EY.

The free instruction was sponsored by the Bethel Amateur Radio Club (BARK) and Kuskokwim Campus' Continuing Education Department. BARK volunteer instructors presented 22 classes over the first three weekends in November, with Joe Seibert, AL1F, doing the bulk of the teaching.
