Prize winners of ZS85SARL Field Day Station competition

The South African Radio League (SARL) was founded on the 25th May 1925 in Cape Town. To commemorate the 85th anniversary of this event, a group of amateur radio operators ran a special event station with the birthday call sign ZS85SARL from Cape Town.

A total of 111 contacts were made with ZS85SARL during the day.

The winner of the lucky draw in the SARL member category is Andre Botes, ZS2ACP. His prize, an ARRL 2011 hardcover handbook will be in the mail next week. Congratulations Andre.

The winner in the non-member category is ZS5IE, I D McAllister. ZS5IE will receive a year's free SARL membership. Welcome in our midst.
