Delfi-N3XT Amateur Radio Satellite

The Dutch team that produced Delfi-C3 (DO-64) are planning to launch a new amateur radio satellite, the Delfi-N3XT in September 2012.

It will be launched on a DNEPR rocket and carry a 435/145 MHz linear transponder for SSB/CW communications and a 2400 MHz telemetry beacon.

Two payloads onboard Delfi-N3XT are a micro-propulsion system developed by TNO in cooperation with TU Delft and University of Twente called T3µPS and an in-orbit configurable, high-efficient transceiver platform developed by ISIS BV, in cooperation with TU Delft and SystematIC BV called ITRX.

Delfi-N3XT will carry out an onboard experiment on hydrogenated amorphous silicon solar cells from the micro-electronics institute DIMES from the TU Delft. and additionally, an experimental very low frequency (VLF) receiver might be tested as precursor for the OLFAR program.
