1.7 Amateur Radio Satellite to be launched 20th February
Mineo Wakita / JE9PEL has supplied the information below on the Amateur
Radio Satellite Cute-1.7 which is currently scheduled for launch on 20th
February.
It will be launched as a sub-payload on the 3rd stage of Japanese solid
rocket M-V-8. The main satellite is ASTRO-F http://www.ir.isas.jaxa.jp/ASTRO-F/Outreach/index_e.html
Cute-1.7 makes use of the 23cm and 70cm Amateur Satellite allocations
and it provides the amateur radio community with an AX-25 Packet Digipeater
with store and forward capability.
