On
the Road with PW
Practical Wireless editor Rob Mannion G3XFD always enjoys meeting readers
of PW, and often tours the country visiting amateur radio clubs throughout
the United Kingdom
Last Friday, Rob's travels took him to the Cheltenham Amateur Radio Association's
club meeting, where he was given a very warm welcome.
Rob's next stop is the Wey Valley Amateur Radio Group's club near Guildford
in Surrey. Rob's visit on the 17th February replaces the one originally
advertised for January 4th, which he was forced to cancel at the time
due to illness.
The Wey Valley Club is better known for its use of the famous callsign
G6XN - the callsign of the late and well-respected
radio amateur and antenna designer, Les Moxon.
You'll find more information about the Club, and how it got to use this
famous callsign by visiting their website, which can be found at: http://www.weyvalleyarg.org.uk/
If you're in the area on the night, why not stop-by at the club and meet
Rob. Visitors are always made most welcome.
