ARRL's 2007 Great Lakes Division Convention

Mark your calendars and make plans to attend and be part of the ARRL 2007 Great Lakes event of the year!

The GLDC will be held on September 22nd the day before the 2007 Cleveland Hamfest, so make it a weekend to visit Northern Ohio.

The GLDC's location will be at the Sheraton Independence Hotel, 5300 Rockside Rd., Independence, OH 44131 (Tel: 216-524-0700).

The Convention/Seminars will begin Saturday, 11:30 AM, followed by a dinner banquet in the evening. The seminars will be geared towards the new upcoming (and old) DXers and other amateur radio interest (Emergency Comm., AMSAT, ARDF, Antennas..etc.). Seminars will open with guest speakers Bob Heil/K9EID and Chip Margelli/K7JA from Heil Sound.

DX Seminars will be moderated by Tedd/KB8NW (Editor of the OPDX) with guest speakers Bernie McClenny/W3UR (Editor of "The Daily DX and Weekly DX" and QST's "How's DX?" column.), John Papay/K8YSE (Swains Island operator)
and possibly other speakers. Seminars will close with Tim Duffy/K3LR (on Antennas/Contesting).

The dinner banquet will be at 7:00 PM with guest speaker Joel Harrison/W5ZN, President ARRL.
