Ian McFarland set to launch second 'Idents and Interval Signals' CD set

Following the success of the first two CD set, The Idents & Interval Signals Series, which went on sale in early September 2006, my trusty audio engineer Colin Newell and I are busy on the production of a second two-CD set which will bring back even more nostalgic SW memories for anyone whose shortwave listening activities go back as far as the early seventies and mid-eighties.

Included in the new CD set, among other features, is another very popular series that was originally broadcast on the Radio Canada SW Club programme in the last year or so before the program was discontinued back in 1975.

The official launch of the new CDs is set to take place on 9 March 2007 at the 20th anniversary Winter SWL Fest in Kulpsville, PA in the United States. There will also be a parallel launch announcement on the DXer.ca website on 9 March.

At the Fest, for those attending the launch event, there will be four chances to win a set of the new CDs. The prices for the new CDs will be the same as before, and there will be a handy order form on the DXer.ca website as of 9 March 2007.

As was the case with the first set of CDs the net profits from sales will be donated to the food bank in Duncan, British Columbia. So far, $600 has been donated to this food bank from sales to some 150 shortwave listeners in 14 countries around the world. Many thanks for your support.
