SARL Youth Net takes on another look

The SARL Youth Net has taken on another look. The net will be hosted by Craig Symington ZS6RH and be multicast on several frequencies, on Echolink and on the web.

The net will be on the air on Thursday at 18:00 with interactive transmissions on 3650 kHz, 7082 kHz, 14240 kHz nationally and in Gauteng on 145,725 MHz. There will also be a relay on 438,825 MHz in the Pretoria area.

Details of the Echolink and webcast will be announced shortly. Full information can also be found on www.sarl.org.za. Click on youth activity.

The main focus of the network is to get young people to talk to each other and with the multicast we believe that every young radio amateur in South Africa will have the opportunity to participate.

It will also be an ideal opportunity to invite young people into your radio shack and let them experience amateur radio first hand.
