Antennas Live! – Talk at DHARS

This Monday the Dengie Hundred Amateur Radio Society will have a talk 'Antennas Live!' given by Murray Niman G6JYB.

This is your chance to see Antennas in a whole new light. From Foundation Courses to Radcom, the topic of Antennas is filled with much comment and controversy for what is a simple collection of wire and metal.

Compared to circuitry that can be probed with a multimeter or a scope, antennas and the aether around them can remain a mystery to many.

With the benefit of cheap powerful PCs and increasingly powerful (and sometimes free) software Murray Niman G6JYB will use colourful 3D Graphics and Animation to demonstrate Antennas working, complete with standing waves, field patterns, sidelobes etc.

The talk takes place on Monday 11 th February at 7.30 pm in the Henry Samuel Hall, Mayland, Essex.Make sure you get a seat near the front for what promises to be a visual feast.
