D-STAR Channel Spacing

The Utah VHF Society have produced a useful article on
D-STAR channel spacing.

Titled "Analysis and recommendations of channel spacing for D-Star operations on the VHF and UHF amateur bands" the article addresses the issues of co-channel D-STAR interference as well as adjacent channel interference between D-Star and analog FM systems.

It is written from an American perspective so assumes 5 kHz deviation FM instead of the 2.5 kHz deviation used elsewhere.

The article incidently shows the inadequacies of the FM filters found in most Amateur rigs. It can be seen at: http://www.utahvhfs.org/dstar_channel_spacing.html
