Report on LF/MF Digital Radio Consultation

Suprisingly no-one in the British Isles or Europe bothered to reply to the consultation on the move to Digital Radio in the AM medium wave and long wave bands.

The European Radiocommunications Office (ERO) website reports that the Frequency Management (FM) Working Group at its meeting in Vienna, September 2007, approved the text of the draft ECC Report 117 on “Managing the transition to Digital Sound broadcasting in the LF/MF Bands” for public consultation.

The public consultation was ended on 30 December 2007. No comment was received for the public consultation.

The report can be downloaded from the European Radiocommunicatiions Office (ERO) website by the following procedure:

1) Go to http://www.ero.dk/
2) From the "ECC Activities" drop-down menu select "Meetings Documents"
3) Ignore the Username/Password fields they are not required
4) In the field "Select Group" choose "FM Working Group"
5) In the field "Select Year" choose "2008"
6) Click on "Athens Feb"
7) Click on "Input Documents"
8) Select the tick box for "Result of public consultation on ECC Report 117 on BC in LF-MF bands"
9) Click the "Download Selected" button at the top of the page
