North Dublin Radio ClubAt the recently held North Dublin Radio Club AGM, the
Club Trophy was awarded to Mike Wright, EI2DJ for his This trophy was
designed by Ray, EI7AHB, and donated to the Club in the
early 1990s to be awarded annually for worthy
contributions to the Club or to amateur radio in Many of us who use repeaters regularly do not realise
the amount of work that goes into setting them up and At last year's AGM, it was disappointing that there was only one entry for the Professor Folan Shield and the Kevin Freaney trophy. These two trophies are awarded for construction of amateur radio equipment. Tony, EI5EM, in accepting the awards, addressed the meeting and expressed his own disappointment at the lack of competition. He said that there must be many experimenters out there constructing equipment but who do not consider submitting them. With the IRTS AGM fast
approaching, now is the time to consider submitting an
entry. You do not need to have designed and built a
multiband DSP transceiver to enter. If you have built a
kit, an SWR meter, a mobile antenna or other piece of
equipment, why not submit your project and show that
the art of building isn't dead and that EIs are not After all, our
licenses designates us experimenters. Source: IRTS
