Reprint of BBC transmission book 'On Air' availableA limited reprint of the book 'On Air - A History of BBC Transmission' is currently available for just £5 from BBC Engineering. From: http://www.bbceng.info/Books/On%20Air/On_Air.htm The book On Air celebrates a lifetime of achievement in the world of broadcast transmission engineering and includes many anecdotes from the lives of people involved. 100 hardback and 500 paperback editions of On Air were printed in June 2003 and they were all sold by early 2004, but a reprint is now available. The price was reduced in January 2008 from £12.50 to £5 (plus P&P). Only a limited stock is available and there will not be another reprint when the stock is exhausted. The idea for On Air arose in 1997 when BBC Transmission was privatised and two new companies were formed: now called National Grid Wireless and VT Merlin Communications.
