Scott Anderson, NE1RD has been working on a special project for the last several weeks.
He’s created a very detailed Rock-Mite assembly manual and then with it, he helped his local radio club with a “Kit Building Adventure” last weekend. Ten club members built 10 Rock-Mites using this manual and everyone who finished had a working radio to carry home. See the pictures from that happy event.
What’s more, Scott has made the document available under a Creative Commons license that permits it to be widely shared and distributed. You can download the file by joining the Rock-Mite YahooGroup and snagging it from the files area (RM-Step-by-step-rev-b.doc).
Even better, it’s available for viewing online right now via the new Issuu publication site.
It was obviously a tremendous bit of work and we’re all looking forward to Scott’s next project!
Note: The Rock-Mite is a simple CW transceiver kit available for 80, 40, (30) or 20 meters. It’s another amazing creation from the Small Wonder Labs of Dave Benson, K1SWL.
Congratulations to NE1RD for a job well done!
