The UK newspaper The Telegraph reports on documents which apparently show the BBC launched a secret 'dirty tricks' campaign to have offshore radio stations shut down.

The article says that previously unseen documents from the BBC archives disclose how the corporation was so alarmed at the rise of the stations that it launched a secret "dirty tricks" campaign to have them shut down.
