Brunei's radio hams provide emergency comms

In Brunei, the current bad weather and disasters have hit homes and deprived some residents around the country of their essentials.

So, the Brunei Darussalam Amateur Radio Association (BDARA) is extending their assistance by providing services of emergency communication using amateur radio to remote areas that had conventional communication system breakdowns.

According to BDARA, they have installed a amateur radio set complete with antenna at the National Disaster Management Centre in order to be able to receive instantaneous reports from the remote villages in the Belait District. These radios are manned by members of BDARA.
